M. Pharm. (Pharmaceutical Chemistry)
We have two class rooms, a seminar hall, two laboratories, and a sophisticated instrument room for this course. Computers with internet facilities, necessary statistical and chemical softwares, equipments like a binary gradient HPLC, FTIR with DR attachment, UV/visible Spectrophotometers, Rotary film vacuum evaporators, Microwave synthesizer etc. Reference books like Chemical Synthesis series, Analytical Profiles, Pharmaceutical chemistry series, Pharmacopoeias etc. are available for ready reference. The Post Graduate Dept. has 56 research publications and 38 research presentations at National and International Level to its credit.
UV
Its applications include analytical method development of drugs and medicaments from formulations and body fluids, and it is also used for kinetic studies with formulations, degradation kinetics, stability studies etc.
HPLC
Separation and qunatitation of drugs, degradation products, metabolites, many endogenous biomolecules from complex metrices can be done using HPLC. Its other applications include analytical method development of drugs and medicaments from formulations and all above stated complex metrices.
FTIR
Research applications of The FTIR include confirmation of identity of products synthesized, extracted, degraded or modified for or while formulating.
Proclaiming to start with new P.G. courses we have invested in few sophisticated equipments like Brookfield Viscometer, Automated Dissolution Apparatus, Photomicrograph and 10 station mini press etc.
Automated 8 Basket Dissolution Apparatus
Photographic Microscope
10 station Tablet mini press
