Pharmaceutics Lab. I & II

Pharmaceutics Department is equipped with state of art facilities giving hands on experience to B. Pharm. graduates. To meet the global needs in the area of formulation and development, we shape our students by exposing them to the research environment along with the routine curricula. The infrastructure comprising major share of sophisticated equipments like ‘Automated 8 basket Dissolution test apparatus’, ‘10 station mini press’, ‘Brookfield viscometer’ etc. have proved uniqueness of the department.  

 

Lecture Halls

The college has three lecture halls having a capacity of more than 60 students, which are fully equipped with required amenities including OHPs, graph black board.

 

Pharma chemistry Lab. I & II

Practicals involving qualitative analysis, pharmaceutical synthesis, organic synthesis and pharmaceutical analysis of drugs and excipients are few of the things are handled in these laboratories.

 

Library

Library is the hearth of an educational institute. The college has a rich and resourceful collection of books and journals of repute, updated regularly so that faculty and student can keep abreast of the recent developments in pharmaceutical sciences. It is provided with library software and internet connection for online referencing.

 

Pharmacognosy Lab.

Pharmacognosy laboratory is well equipped with equipments such as photographic microscope, microtome, digital oven, rotatry orbital shaker, TLC kit, UV cabinet, Soxhlet apparatus, Clavenger’s apparatus, digital top load balance, column chromatography set, muffle furnace, vacuum drying unit etc. The laboratory is well dressed with charts, models and self developed photographs of medicinal plants. Department has also developed unique medicinal garden with about 80 different plants with few rare species.

 

 

Pharmacology Lab.

Pharmacology department has two separate laboratories for UG and PG. The department have animal house as per the guidelines of CPCSA. The equipment available in the department includes physiograph, plethismometer, analgesiometer, electroconvulsometer, histamine chamber, actophotometer etc.

 

Computer Laboratory

Fore sighting the need to train the future pharmacists, computer facilities are made available to the students profusely. College has 40 computers with all necessary accessories like printers, (dot matrix, inkjet, laser), scanner etc and softwares desirable for undergraduate and post-graduate students. 120 kbps Broad band internet connection has been set up in the college. The computers in the laboratory are connected in LAN and the facilities are accessible to the UG and PG students for the regular practical and for electronic data search.

Conference Hall

The college has an air-conditioned conference room with excellent audio-visual facilities having capacity of 30 seats for conducting college meetings and student’s seminars.

Apart from all these we have, Auditorium, Common Rooms, two separate rooms for girls and boys having lockers, stools the arrangements. Gymkhana, for indoor sports such as Chess, Carom and Table tennis are also provided. One separate common room for teachers with central tables, one room for non-teaching staff and one confidential room for examination are also provided. Canteen, which runs from 8.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. provides hot and delicious snacks with hot and cold beverages.
