It has been our convention that excellent education can be given to the students, only if excellent infrastructure facilities are created and carefully selected experienced and student caring teachers are made available.
With the experience of implementing this concept in the development of Poona College of Pharmacy, Dr. Patangrao Kadam established Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Pharmacy, Kolhapur in 1996.
Many great and flourishing enterprises have had often vary humble beginnings. The college was started in Kadamwadi with initial intake of 23 students and is placed in a spacious campus at Morewadi, since November 1999. The laboratories and all the amenities took shape under the able and dynamic guidance of Dr. Shivajirao Kadam, Vice Chancellor, Bharati Vidyapeeth University, Pune.
The college is now equipped with all the facilities needed to develop efficient Pharmacists. Solid infrastructure backup, competent and student caring faculty with expertise in different branches of Pharmaceutical Science is the asset of the college. The college is approved as a Research Centre of Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Pune and Shivaji University, Kolhapur; runs M. Pharm. Course in Pharma. Chemistry and Pharmaceutics and plans to start in other disciplines also.
Day to day development of the college, in all the facets of Pharma education has been in news for long. Activities of symbolic interactions with Industries, Research Centers and Community Pharmacy Professionals are proliferating. The overall achievements of the Institute are really appreciable.
